For today , I would like to share a few cards I made to send to my SU Tag friends:

All three of these cards use the Friends Never Fade Stamp set, Whisper White, Regal Rose, Pear Pizzazz ,  Marina Mist and Chocolate chip cardstock. I also used the Lattice Embossing folder and on 2 of them I sponged the edges of the embossed cs with soft suede ink  and on one I placed one of the new rhinestones in the center of the flower.

For this one I used a base on very vanilla rather than Whisper white due to the Daffodil Delight stamped image.

And the final card I turned to landscape and used Marina Mist for the image.Hope you enjoyed these 3 variations on a theme. Happy Stamping!

On this coming Tuesday,the 29th of June, I will be hosting a fun gathering at my home in Bellingham, WA to show off whats new and wonderful, have one last chance to buy from the current catalog, play with some fun make-n-takes and have some food and fun with paper crafting friends.

I have decided to combine to new and the old in each of the make-n-take projects. We will making a card, a bookmark and a special tool for anyone who buys Stampin’ Up! paper and ink. I will post photos on Wed. Some items are using card stock or ink soon to be retired and all are using new stamp sets.

The new catalogs will all be here (according to UPS) and it is definitely drool worthy!

There are 6 different papers. Here is another sample done with the same dsp: This time I matted the printed paper with Elegant Eggplant cardstock and added a 1/4” wide old olive ribbon along the left side.

This next card uses another dsp with mellow moss as the base cardstock. I again used the sage shadow 1/4” grosgrain ribbon on the left side of the card. I used Night of Navy ink for the text. Then I made another with the same dsp but put a mellow moss taffeta bow on the card front.

Very similar yet different. Another of the fun DSP designs in this set was this one with pussy willows. I used a metallic gold cardstock as my mat, a stitched purely pomegranate ribbon and a bravo burgundy cardstock for the base. For the inside I printed the muted design on a pale parchment paper.

For the inside I printed the same paper in a lower opacity on either vellum or text weight paper and mounted it inside to give both a finished look and a place to easily write my note. for this card I used sage shadow ribbon and cardstock, handsome hunter cardstock and 3 small gems.

Recipe: Stamp sets- Fifth Ave Floral, Friends 24-7, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Ink- Basic Black; Cardstock- Bashful Blue, Basic Black, Versa mark, Whisper White; Other- Black SU Embossing Powder, embossing buddy, Black 1/4in  grosgrain ribbon, Stampin’ dimensionals.

This card uses a cross of tall tales DSP  and Melon Mambo cardstock to frame our cute giraffe. And I used the double corduroy buttons in chocolate chip and summer sun to accent and balance the card front. I left off a message on purpose because though I see this as baby – it could be birthday or get well or used for a variety of occasions- Just say it inside.

My second card and the final piece of this set uses one of my favorite critters in the Animal Stories set, the elephant. And only  in a fantasy world of dreams and children are elephants pink- so of course I had to use Melon Mambo for the elephant with Crystal Effects on top for a lacquered look. I used Rich Razzleberry , Crushed Curry and Whisper White cardstock to complement the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP background and send a joyful message to a friend. Wouldn’t these bright colors just cheer you day?!

First, let me show you the suitcase I made her to carry her swaps in at convention.  I used the Santa stamp image from the new Christmas Punch hostess set to decorate the outside and used the alpine ribbon from last Christmas’s catty for the straps as that was a favorite of hers. She was able to put all her swaps inside.

Here is another view of the suitcase. I used retired in colors for this suitcase. Stamp set: Christmas Punches, Cardstock & ink: Riding Hood Red, Other: Natural twine, Alpine Ribbon, Crystal Effects.

Now for the fun news, on Monday after our return from SLC, I was invited to go with Jennifer and Scott to  her ultrasound appt that would tell her the sex of our first grandchild. Boy, has technology changed! It was awesome to get the first definitive view of my new grandson! We still don’t know what they will name him, but the boy is very active and we are all excited and eager to welcome him. He may even join us for Christmas. I am so enjoying my time with Jennifer and Scott as they prepare for this new addition.

This card is part of a series of 3, I did trying variations on a theme. For this one I used Kraft cs, Dusty Durango cs and Tall Tales DSP, Dusty Durango ink and a Mellow Moss Taffeta ribbon.

This variant is the same with the exception that I changed the ink color to Mellow Moss. Very different look … not sure which I prefer.

The final card in this series, I chose chocolate chip cs for my base and embossed it with our texturz backgrounds #1. I used Soft Sued to stamp the image on the Dusty Durango finished with the mellow moss ribbon and was done.
